Vitali Vitaliev - a multi-award-winning and multilingual international author of 10 books, writer/presenter of a number of TV and radio series and documentaries, former columnist and features writer for The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The European, The Herald, The Australian etc. as well as a compulsive traveler - describes himself as a Ukrainian-born Russian with Australian and British citizenships. The first investigative journalist in the former USSR, he defected to the West in 1990. Since then he visited over 60 countries, having lived and worked in England, Australia, Scotland and Ireland before settling down in Hertfordshire. He has an insatiable appetite for human and geo-political curiosities and strongly believes in the possibility of making new discoveries on a daily basis.
